HELPING KEEP AN ENDANGERED BREED ALIVE

ABOUT THE CLUB

With less than 500 of these dogs worldwide CEDCNWC strives to educate people to help bring this breed back from extinction. We host dog shows and education panels across Canada as well as sponsor races and mushers from across our country as well as overseas with one goal in mind...SURVIVAL!

ABOUT THE BREED

The Canadian Eskimo Dog (CED), also known as “Qimmiq” in Inuktitut, holds a fascinating history intertwined with the resilient Thule Inuit people of the Canadian Arctic. These hardy dogs have been essential companions for millennia, aiding the Inuit in their survival against harsh conditions. A true SURVIVOR!
